Looking For Our Ancestors

	This sight is devoted to the descendants and ancestors of families who settled in the Southwest part of Henry County, Tennessee in the 1800's. Most of the families were from North Carolina and Virginia.
	Welcome! We are happy you stopped by and hope that your stay will be enjoyable. This site is about my family and many of the old families of SW Henry County, Tennessee.

Our Mission

It has been my desire for many years to have a place where our kin folks and others could come to find out about the old families of SW Henry County, Tennessee.

We want to provide information about these families and have chosen to do it through books and publications which not only give the names and dates of birth and death but some of the stories of some of these people. Also, some of the old timers pictures. Our pictures are limited now but we hope that people will send some pictures of the older generations. There is not a lot of room for pictures but we add what we can.

If you can add information about any of the people here or know stories about any of them please let us know so that we can include them in future revisions.

Contributors

I cannot leave out the fact that Dr. Ruth Dinkins contributed greatly to the information that I have for the descendants of SW Henry County. Without her contribution there would not be nearly as much information contained in the books. Also, my Aunt Thelma Tucker spent many hours helping me get started with this project along with my Aunt Novella Brooks who helped her. What a priceless contribution these have made to my research. And there have been many others who helped along the way.

In researching the families included in this web site I have come across some conflicting information on a few individuals. I have done what I could to verify the information. If you find mistakes in any of the information presented here please let me know in order that I can make corrections. In the books that you order also please let me know if you find any information that is different than what you have. I hope that you will help me make the information as accurate as possible.

If you have any information about any of these families or any old pictures that we can use I would love to hear from you. I have no pictures of some of the families listed here. Any information or pictures would be greatly appreciated. We cannot use pictures of any living persons unless we have a release from the individual.
