This site is about my family and many of the old families of SW Henry County,
Tennessee.

Our Mission
Many years ago I started searching for some of my ancestors. It
didn't take long before I knew who several of my relatives were and how they fit in our
family. When I thought I had found enough about my family I tried to stop looking. That
was over 40 years ago and I have not stopped looking yet. To date I have found about
15,000 of our family members who are linked either by birth or by marriage. I don't have
any intention of quitting. Once the genealogy bug bites you cannot stop. It is a job
that will last for life.
My intention is to provide information through these books that
will be available for all the descendants of these special families who lived here in
Henry County, and also to make information available on other topics of interest to
researchers with the same families and area of the county as my interest are. This may
include cemetery listings, census records, marriage records and other items.
Personal Information
I grew up in Henry County, Tennessee. Much of my childhood was
spent on the farm of Willie and Mary Lawrence, my grandparents. They lived about three
miles south of Como. The farm was located at the junction of the Como-McKenzie road at the
Gleason turn-off.
This picture of the old house was taken in 1993 about 30
years after Granddaddy and Grandmother lived there. The big tree at the right is a
pecan tree that Granddaddy planted shortly after they moved there probably about 1908-10.
I attended school at Como, Liberty IV, McKenzie, Tennessee,
and Wiley and Lamar, Colorado.

I am married to Estalee and have four sons, Michael, Kerry Lee
who has already gone to be with the Lord, Willie, and John, and six grandchildren.
We live in Centerton, Arkansas about 5 miles west of Bentonville.
